Definition
A cover only: three panels with an envelope back so an insert can go in and out without a zip track across the face. Fabric choice matters more here than in apparel, because a cushion sits in daylight for years.
If the room gets direct sun, we will steer you to the gauze and say plainly why — it fades more evenly than a satin face.
Two bases, two very different objects
The gauze cover throws daylight through itself and shows whatever sits behind it; the satin cover reads as a dark plane with a hard line of light at the fold. Same dye, same size, different room. We photograph both so buyers do not guess.
Inserts, and why we do not ship them
A cushion insert is cheap locally and expensive to ship, and a foam block squats in a carton for weeks and stays flat. Sell the cover, source the insert at the destination; we size for a standard 45 cm block so it is a shelf swap, not a special order.

Will the black cover mark light sofas?
On new stock, yes, especially where a lining meets a light upholstery for hours. A grey linen insert slip between them solves it, and it is worth mentioning to the end customer.
