Definition
A wrap dress closes with an overlapping front panel tied at the waist, so the cloth runs diagonally across the body. The cloth here is gambiered mulberry silk, finished with yam-tuber juice and river mud, one side ink black and one side ochre yellow.
Wrap fronts put two cut edges on the same seam, which is where a two sided cloth gets noticed, so this style is written around the lay.
Same direction across the whole garment
The cloth has an ink black side and an ochre yellow side. A wrap front crosses itself, so every piece of the order is laid the same way round before cutting, facings and tie belt included. If you want the ochre side on the inner waist band, write it in the enquiry and we quote that as a separate lay.

You choose a style we already have on the stand, we sew in your brand label and your care label, and the size set is graded from the chart you send. Current samples go out one piece at a time by post, because the site carries no shopping cart and no stock list.
