Silk is delicate and easy to wrinkle and snag, these together with hanging thread ends, stitches and manual curling marks, do not normally affect the way your silk looks and do not count as quality issues. Different fabrics have different textures and feel different when you touch them. Please refer to the enclosed maintenance manual for silk care tips. We accept returns for items in their original condition, with tags attached (unworn and undamaged), for a full refund. You have 14 days from the date your order is delivered to initiate a return request and send the item(s) back to qualify for a refund.

To request a return, please email us at cestlalouisa@gmail.com with ‘RETURN’ in the subject line. Be sure to include your order number and the reason for the return. If you received a defective item, we are happy to offer a full refund or exchange, based on your preference. Please mention your choice in the email.

The item being returned must be unworn, undamaged, and sent back in its original packaging. If the packaging is damaged or no longer available, please provide sufficient packaging to protect the item during shipping. We are not responsible for any lost or damaged packages that are sent back to us.

Once we receive your return, we will process your refund within approximately 2-3 business days.

At this time, we do not cover the cost of return shipping, and shipping fees are non-refundable.

Care Tips for Silk Scarves

It is recommended to wear more and wash less due to plant-based dyeing,Slight color fading during washing is normal.

1. Gentle Hand Wash: Always wash silk scarves by hand with cold or lukewarm water. Avoid hot water, which can damage the fibers. Use a mild, pH-neutral detergent or a special silk detergent.

2. Avoid Harsh Detergents: Do not use bleach, fabric softeners, or strong detergents, as they can damage the delicate silk fibers and fade colors.

3. No Soaking: Do not soak silk scarves for long periods. Briefly swish them in water and gently rub any stained areas with your fingers.

4. Do Not Wring: After washing, avoid wringing the scarf. Instead, gently press out excess water by placing it between two towels and pressing down.

5. Air Dry: Lay the scarf flat on a towel to air dry in a shaded area. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can cause the colors to fade.

6. Ironing on Low Heat: If ironing is necessary, use the lowest setting or a “silk” setting. Iron while the scarf is still slightly damp, and place a cloth between the iron and the scarf to prevent direct contact.

7. Store Properly: When not in use, store silk scarves in a cool, dry place. Avoid hanging them for long periods, as this can cause stretching. It’s best to fold them neatly and store them in a breathable cotton bag or wrapped in tissue paper.

8. Avoid Perfume and Chemicals: Keep the scarf away from perfumes, hairsprays, and other chemical products, which can stain or weaken the silk fabric.

9. Dry Cleaning Option: For expensive or delicate silk scarves, dry cleaning is the safest option, especially if the scarf has intricate patterns or embellishments.
